This track is a turn-taking song using drums, woodblocks and triangles. At its simplest level, it can be played like that. However, to make things more challenging, each instrument can have its own rhythmic pattern, which can be heard in the song. Drums play on beat 1 and 3, woodblocks play quavers on beat 2 and 4 (2-and.....4 and) with triangles playing on beat 4 - sometimes. Listen and you will get the idea, above all - have fun!!
lyrics
Welcome to our robot band,
The greatest band in all the land,
Robot music's just begun,
Come and join our robot fun!
Robot drummers play real slow,
This is how their music goes.
Woodblocks tick-tock all day long,
Join in, play the robot song.
Welcome to our robot band,
The greatest band in all the land,
Robot music's just begun,
Come and join our robot fun!
Robot triangles waiting then,
Ting it once then wait again,
Ev'rybody play along,
Let's all play a robot song.
Welcome to our robot band,
The greatest band in all the land,
Robot music's just begun,
Come and join our robot fun!

I love music - I love kids! Little Minstrels all began with a few classes at a preschool in 2005. Since then it has grown
into my part-time job and full-time passion, developing my own teaching programme and writing and recording songs to suit. These songs have stood the test of time and have been loved by the preschoolers I teach. I hope your chidren enjoy them too!...more
